No More Drifting Away

April 23, 2020 by John Crause

With the recent pandemic and having to be cautious about everything you do, I have faced some personal conflict.

On the one hand not a lot has changed, because we continue with our ministry online, which has always been our emphasis. But on the other hand things are going to change.

And I started to look to the Lord and wonder, “What am I going to be doing now Lord?”

It is clear that from now on a lot of things will change in everyone’s life. And if you have been following us you know that the Lord even confirmed this, with the vision of the coming storm that we shared. The vision spoke of how the Lord is going to bring out many new ships that were not known before and many big ships are going to sink.

So as I waited on the Lord recently I came to the place where I felt hopeless. I did not know how the Lord would do something new in me personally.

Many around me seem to be getting direction, and sure their direction seems hard, but at least they seemed to have a clearer sense of direction than me.

And maybe it is selfish for me to ask, but I said, “What about me Lord?”

The Picture

And the Lord showed me that He was not done with me yet. I saw a picture of a ship sailing in the ocean, all alone, not a thing in sight, nothing but empty still ocean all around.

What would you do if you were in that position? It seems hopeless when you cannot see anything. How do you know which way to go?

You can start heading in a direction, but it seems pointless, because you do not know how far you have gone or how far you have to go. You can get blown off course by a storm that comes up suddenly and the waves push you aside.

That is the picture that I saw. But then the Lord spoke to me and He reminded me that He is in control.

He told me that though I cannot see it, the land is ahead. He said that even though it feels as if you are not making progress, it is only because you cannot see how far you have come.

Everything may look the same right now, but soon you will reach a place that you have not been before. Soon the land will come into view and you will know that you are on the right path.

And even if you are thrown off the path, which you will be sometimes, that does not mean you cannot get back on track.

Does it feel like you are drifting right now? Does it seem like you are going in circles and all the things you have done have come to a stand still?

Rejoice because it means that God can now take you to the place that He wants for you.

Still Working

Philippians 2:13 For it is God who is working in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. (GBMV)

Only He can take you there and no one else can. Only His wind can blow and take you in the right direction, so do not wait now and give up.

Lift your hands to Him in praise. Lift your voice to Him and ask Him to blow His wind upon you, to set you on course again. Let Him take you forward. You cannot see how far He has already brought you and you cannot know how far He intends to take you still.

I pray that the Lord will strengthen each person that is reading this. Lord each person that feels alone, each one that has started to lose sight of you. Each person that feels like that ship out in an empty ocean.

I thank you Lord for taking them and blowing your wind upon them. You alone can see the way ahead. And you alone know where it is that each person is headed.

I thank you for shining your light on them that they know they are not alone.

Thank you for it Lord, in Jesus name.

I pray that this was an encouragement to you. I look forward to where God is going to take each person.

Good morning, thank you for the powerful word. It’s very encouraging. I have been feeling like a was alone and saw no direction. I asked the Lord which way am I going what must I do. It’s comforting to know I am not the only one and that God is leading me. Thank you for blessing me with this word today.

Thank you John for such a word of encouragement. I am lifted and receive it in my spirit with meekness and gladness. The storm might not be over, but one thing is certain: He will never leave nor forsake us, He go forth before us to ensure we don’t drift away. Thank you the message John,

Thank you so much for sharing this.

Could a word be more timely?
It is exactly what i needed to hear … to receive encouragement to be still and know that He is God … to seek first His Kingdom and its righteousness and all these things will be added … and chiefly that i can do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens me.

    Stay safe and well.
PAPA bless you ALL … BIG time!
