Today is Your Day

Today is your day to overcome!

Okay, maybe right now you don’t even feel like you can overcome your pillow.

You know how some days you just seem to be out of it from the beginning. Today was going to be a good productive day, but you tripped right as the race started. You burned your toast, you spilled your coffee… you get the idea.

That is how I felt today…

And it is very easy to want to just give up on the day and say I will try again tomorrow. Maybe you are feeling depressed or you cannot seem to find joy in your life.

But you don’t have to stay there. You do not have to accept that you are never going to overcome what is holding you back. You don’t have to waste today, just waiting for it to be over.

Why? Because you are a conqueror in Christ.

Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [GBMV]

But what does it mean to be more than a conqueror?

It means you are more than some soldier that has to fight for everything. It means that you already won the fight.

1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, [even] our faith.
Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? [GBMV]

You are a child of God and you don’t have to fight anymore. You are born of God and you have faith in Him. You can rest now in the fact that the battle is already won.

Does it feel like today you were defeated? Well that is a lie, because you are not yet defeated.

Stand up today and shake off the shackles of the enemy that are trying to stop you. You can have joy today and you can overcome those feelings that are holding you back.

Yes, there is still a fight in this world and there is still work to be done. You will always continue working in this world until the Lord comes.

But when you go out into this world you go as a King or a Queen. You go out knowing that the Lord is fighting for you and has already won.

I hope today you are reminded of your victory in Christ and you go out succeed in everything that you do.
