You Are The Ruler

I always remember the first time I saw the little graphic of three monkeys. One had his hand over his mouth, another had his hands over his eyes, and the third one had his hands over his ears. The idea behind it was to not speak any evil, see evil or hear evil.
In the natural it sounds a good idea. But in reality, in order to do that, you would have to become a recluse, live on your own without any outside communication and avoid interaction with anyone.
Because you see we live in a world where you cannot avoid seeing and hearing evil. And often speaking evil comes out automatically because we are sinful creatures.
You cannot avoid seeing or hearing about evil things. Just by living in this world these things bombard us automatically. You walk into a shop and you might hear someone talking about something negative, or you might see something bad happen.
Satan wants to make you focus on the negative things that are going on. He also wants to turn that picture into something spiritual in a negative way. He wants you to speak no good, see no good and hear no good.
He wants to shut your mouth so that you don’t speak the things of the Lord and use the authority that He has given you. He also wants to block your eyes and ears spiritually, so that you cannot hear or see the blessings that the Lord has for you.
If he can get you to do this, then he has won and has found a way to disable you spiritually. But his weapons cannot succeed when you know the truth and you stand against him.
So what is the solution? Take time to continually focus on the Lord. Read the Word, speak His promises out and pray in tongues if you can. Praise Him and worship Him, because He is greater than anything Satan can try and do in this world.
As you do that even for a short while, you will feel your authority rising up. You will begin to rule and reign with the Lord Jesus as He intended you to do. Then you can turn to Satan and say,
“Satan, this day you cannot block my spirit from rising up. I will speak the words of the Lord. And I will see and hear the blessings that the Lord has for me. I resist you and you have to flee from me today!”
Your Turn
Where are you at today? Is Satan trying to block you in all spiritual areas so that you feel defeated and feel like he is winning? Don’t let him do that. Focus on the Lord and turn the tables on him. He will soon run like a naughty dog with its tail between its legs.
Today may your spirit be in tune with the Lord and may you rule and reign with Him as He intended us to do.
