The One Who Trusts In Him

November 5, 2020 by John Crause

Psalms 34:8 says:

O taste and see that the LORD [Yahweh] [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that] trusts in him

Do you remember the first time you tried your favorite food? Maybe you have a favorite snack that you just love the taste of. But the first time you tried that you did not know what to expect.

Now, most of the time you probably stick to that flavor, because it is your favorite.

And unless you’re the more expressive type you probably don’t go for different flavors anymore. You like to stick to what you know because it works, and you don’t have to think.

Even if you are expressive you do this, because it is human nature.

And sometimes we do the Lord the same way. He wants to give something new. He wants to bless you in a new way. He wants you to taste something new in your life. But you are not sure if you want to go that way and take a chance.

I am sure that you know, God wants to bless you, He wants to do miracles in your life. But just because you know that, does not mean He is going to do it now. You need to take an action, in order to taste that new thing.

It says, Taste and see that the Lord is good.

What does that mean? It means you need to reach out and take a sample. You need to choose to taste it.

In our series “The Way of Blessing” Les talks about 2 things that can release the blessing of the Lord in your life.

Word and Actions

So what Words are you speaking and what actions are you taking now?

It says: Blessed is the one who trusts in Him

Are you saying to the Lord?

“I trust in you Lord” or “I hope I can trust you Lord”

Because when you put your faith in Him, He will never let you down.

It is time for the blessing

The Lord is waiting for you to take a taste now. You know He has this blessing for you. You know it is waiting just around the corner. But perhaps you are too afraid to take the risk of stepping out.

You trust the Lord has something new, but do you believe it will taste as good as He promised?

The Lord has a new blessing for you today. Don’t you want to try this wonderful new flavor? Don’t you want to enter into something new today?

Then it is time to reach out your hands to Him and say “Lord, let me taste of that new thing you have for me”

And then be ready to take action when He shows you the way.

What have you been asking God for? Because, if it is in His will, He always wants to answer you. And if you have been asking Him for something big, it could take time before you taste of that new thing.

So don’t lose hope today. Keep speaking positive words. Keep praising Him and trusting in Him. Keep stepping forward, until you taste and see what He has promised for you, and you alone.
